There is no America in America Online.
They continue to bilk, not only me, but thousands of Americans, including the elderly, out of as much money as possible for phony accounts.
I consider this International fraud due to the following:
The billing and customer service is based in India.
India has access to your bank account number and asks you to verify it, even when you are calling about a fraudulent account and refunds, promised, but not received.
India holds the keys to cancellations. Many times they do not process the request when they confirm they did. I had to call three times.india promised a refund of 95.80. They gave me half and then on an additional call, siad that I would get it in two installments. On the third call they said I wasn't to get any refund. It toook them 18 days to process a cancellation, and they recorded the wrong date of my call.
Convenient for AOL, which gave them another opportunity to take $28.90 out of my bank account again.
The coding for the AOL deduction, on bank statements, is deceptive. It is very hard to see. This is planned, the delays are planned. AOL, which I will refer to as Apocalypse Online, knows what they are doing and shame on the judge that literally just smacked their hands for fraudelent accounts.
This is blatant apathy enabling international fraud.
I am very harsh with AOL and plan to be more harsh with articles, They still telemarket to me, even after they ignored my cancellations pleas for one year. No America in America Online, and no respect for their CEOs, they should be in exile.
