I have purchased a Soyo barebones kits from Tigerdirect on July after seeing the net price for purchasing one after rebates.
Of the three rebates promised, I had to complain constantly to the rebate centers for our checks. On November, the Soyo rebate center told us that they will send our checks in 2/3 weeks.
A month later, the check NEVER CAME! I have sent further emails to the rebate center this month (December) and the company's contact email as well. I haven't heard a single reply since.
I'm very sure Tigerdirect had some role in this as they featured a "special section" in their websites advertising all these barebone kits with the ("too-good-to-be-true") rebates.
From one of the emails Soyo has sent to me: "Our records indicate that you have been approved. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your check to be received. We apologize for any inconvenience."
With all this, who will purchase anything from Tigerdirect or Soyo?
