I have had the same problems as others with WalMart connect that others have. I only needed an internet connection for a few days til i got my cable turned back on, so i decided to try it for the FREE 7 days.
Before the 7 days was up they cancelled my local access number, so on August 16 i called and asked to cancel. I guess they don't want to cancel anybody so they gave me aother free month.
I thought i would try a little longer and then i called again Aug 24 to cancel again. I had to get rather rude with the people to try and cancel acct.
They were oh so very nice trying to get me to continue to be a customer and to do this and to do that, etc, etc. Then they said I had to do it online. I tried that but that meant I had to reinstall the software which I already uninstalled. So I called back again and fought with them again.
Please just shut off the dang thing.
Well, lo and behold, every month since then I have been charged 14.94 from guess who. The extra 5 bucks is supposed to be the bank charge for using the check transfer I guess. I have not used Walmart Connect since Aug 19 and have now had 3 or 4 charges to my checking acct.
I called again to ask them to stop billing me and to credit my acct. First it was well you already paid thru January would you like to. Then I freaked, do you understand I do not want this acct, I haven't used it, I've called multiple times and they still want to make me go thru this.
What a pain in the rear end. I am sick to death of Walmart.com.
A Word to the less wise. Do not use Walmart connect, you will never hear the end of it. It's only been 4 months and I still can't get it cancelled. Go figure.
