I paid HughesNet for three years and never really used the internet because it was slow and kept timing out. We kept it just because the kid may need it every now and again. As soon as she was done with school, I cancelled it. Worst custoimer service ever! I finally got through the menus and such and paid the last bill (I thought) in June. Then I got charged again in Ocober! No notice of any kind just a charge on my credit card that they had on file. Have been fighting it for months and now they turned it over to collectors. My advice is never even try this company. I have a firend who said WildBlue worked great for her. I would look into that or just wait until the cellphone people can get you service, it is much more cost effective.
