On March 5, My wife and I attended a presentation at Heart Check America's office in Los Angeles to discuss receiving free heart scans. After a lengthy presentation, which included an option to upgrade to a 5 year contrct for full body scans, we signed a contract. We paid $3,300.00 for this contract and it included five years of annual scanning and reports. We were advised that we would receive our reports in about 10 days after our scans were taken. We were scanned that afternoon.
At the time of this complaint, we haven't received our body scan reports. I have made at least 10 telephone attempts to contact someone at the main customer service phone number, 800-694-3278, and the Los Angeles number, 310-479-2211. Both numbers are disconnected. It also appears theat the Heart Check America website is down.
I fear that my wife and I are out $3,300.00 and that the person (s) responsible for failing to provide a refund or fulfilling their contractual obligations will have robbed us for thousands.
Information on the web seems to indicate that Heart Check America may be bankrupt. I think that we would have a claim against them. Shouldn't we be notified as part of the proceeding?
