In early I was telephone solicited ('cold called') to avail myself of an opportunity for a free CT heart scan. I made appointment in April at a professional clinic setting at the above address (now closed). Unfortunately, phone #s provided in all states are also now disconnected.
Before undergoing the free heart scan, the prospective 'client' (victim) had to view a promo video (in which even Oprah Winfield appeared) & be sales ptiched on the benefits of regularly undergoing annual "low dose radiation" CT scans over several years in order to screen for a litany of potential undiagnosed health risks.
I signed up, was scanned & was billed an initial fee. Then shortly after, I paid off the remaining balance for 'future services' (now discontinued) so as not to be charged an extra 27% interest. I did get a CD disk & 'doctor-clinician' evaluation of the results at that time.
One of their 'selling points' was that I could submit lists of friends & contacts whom they would telephone solicit. For every individual who came in for a free heart scan, I would receive $100 credit (cash back). That never happened.
Shocking, I am still getting billed on my credit card an annual $ 199 "Network dues" fee for 'services' I can no longer receive. George O. West in Nevada is filing a class action lawsuit against Heart Check America & Chase Health Svcs. I'm in L.A., how can I be included as a plaintiff?
