Complaint / Review
Gold's gym Kennesaw
No training, No contract, & No money

On 05/23 $240 was charged to my checking account without my authorization. After making some phone calls I found that this charge was from club ready inc. Which is the billing company for Gold's Gym. I knew the charge had to have something to do with personal training so I immediately contacted Gold's thinking there must have been some mistake as I had not had a personal training session since my trainer quit working at Gold's 04/09. I spoke to Rojon Torres on 05/23 who told
me that he would look into it and see if he could freeze my account and get the charge reversed. A day or two later, after checking my account and not seeing a change I contacted Rojon again. During my next conversation with Rojon he
informed me that I had signed an agreement to pay for personal training for six months I informed him that I didn't remember that but that if he would provide me with the agreement I had no choice but to honor it he informed me that he could provide me with the contract which he had in front of him and the he would also e-mail me Gold's personal training policy that stated there was a six month agreement. I have yet to receive this email. I visited the gym on 3 occasions that week and asked
Rob if Rojon had left any paperwork for me each time he responded no. I finally contacted Club Ready myself to find out what was going on to which Paula Renner replied they had to get a response from the club. I then received another e-mail from club ready on 05/31 that stated the club informed them that the club had provided me with a copy of my contract when I signed up and that it could not be cancelled. I spoke to Rojon that night at Gold's during my workout and showed him the e-mail to which he stated he had not spoken to club ready and also informed me that he had found my contract but I had not
signed it which he said was a good thing he then proceeded to call the number from my e-mail which was the contact information for Paula Renner. He did not provide me with the contract at this time. He then came back to me and said that it should be worked out the next day.
Today June 1 I contacted Paula Renner again to see if things were finally settled and she informed me that she had spoken to Rojon but that he informed her he still needed to speak with the owner. At this point I went to the club and the owner came over and greeted me. I asked him if he was at all familiar with my situation he said Rojon had mentioned it I then asked him about having the charge reversed he told me that no chargers would be reversed and that there is no way
to have a trainer without a contract so I then informed him that Rojon had already informed me that I didn't have a contract to which he replied there would be no reversal of the charges I then asked him if he could print out my contract he told me no, I'm training someone have a nice day and walked away. A this point Brandy informed me that Rojon would be in at 4. When I returned to speak to Rojon at 4 I advised him that he needed to provide me with the contract or have the charges
reversed. He then stated he had my contract but that I had not signed it.in looking at the paperwork he provided I noticed several things.
Nothing on the paperwork was in my hand writing, The start up date on the paperwork was not the date that I had signed up for a personal trainer but the date that I had joined the gym and my bank statements will confirm this, and my initials had been forged on this paperwork. I can prove this by comparing the initials from my Gold's membership contract verses the paperwork he gave me. I then asked Rojon if he could have James come out and all three of us talk to get this matter resolved. He went into James office several times but James never came out. Finally when I asked him to provided me with the policy that he stated he would e-mail me several days earlier that stated you had to have an agreement he acted as if he had no clue as to what I was talking about he then went into James office again and came out with some paperwork that still didn't have my signature on it. I now have not contract, no trainer and still have this charge on my account. At this
point I am prepared to take Gold's Gym to small claims court on this issue and plan on doing so Monday morning if we can not resolve this.
