I found the article on Lean Spa through Dictionary.com! Would never have thought this was a scam, the web page for ABC News in New York looked legite to me! So I ordered via internet and then called a friend and got her to order also! Ordered it on 2/26 with estimated shipping on 3/1. When I did not receive it by friday, 3/4 I went on the website to check the status of my delivery using the order number given when I ordered the product. It gave me an invalid order number for both products. I then called the number listed on my credit card statement.
This was the first sign that something was not right, the rep was short with me right from the beginning. I asked her to check when I would receive the products, and she said they had no control with the shipping maybe I would receive the products by early next week. I explained about the 2 week time period to cancel the product and that would put me at the end of my time limit. She told me not to worry (that was the 2nd sign that something was not right) I had until the 11th of March to cancel. I asked to cancel then, while I had her on the phone! She told me I couldn't do it because I had not yet received the product. The Lean Spa you just simply cancel, because they only send you a 15 day supply, but the Spa Cleanse would be a different story. Since they send you a month supply of that product, you need to return half the pills by the deadline! Omg! Send pills that I had already handled! I questioned the pills that I was receiving, where they pills that someone else returned? Then she changed the story to sending only the bottle without the pills!? What in the world did I get myself into!
I contacted my credit card company to put a stop to any charges on my card from this company and was not able to do that. The only way to stop any charges on my account is to cancel the card and get a new one! If you use a debit card, you can cancel any future charges but you need to give them the exact amount you would be charged. And hope that they don't charge a different amount!
