I gave my son a 6 month tanning package for his 19th birthday. One of his favorite gifts he ever received. During the 5th month, he was there and the manager said she could lower his monthly payment by $20 for the next month. He said that sounds good. He went and tanned, then came out, and she said to sign the papers, and he signed and left.
My husband and I were out of the country and when we got home we had a letter from Aspen Acceptance Corp. The monthly payment is under my credit card because it was my birthday gift to him.
I called to cancel and they would not let me. They would only let me take my credit card off as the means of payment, but would not bill my son $62.95 a month for 24 months.
Turns out my sonDUPED into signing a 24 month finance agreement with their finance company, ASPEN ACCEPTANCE for a total of $1510.80!!!
He had no idea. He wasnot told he was signing a 24 month contract. I called the person thatTRICKED him into doing this and she said she told him 3 times he was extending his contract 24 months.
My son would have never signed a 24 month contract and I know she did not tell him!!! Ask 100's of others who had the same thing happen and have complained with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

When I called to cancel, they refused, and said they can take my credit card off, but since my son is over 18, he is legally responsible because he signed. I called and talked to 4 people who WERE ALL RUDE and all told me he should have known what he was signing.
Do they know they have had 503 similarCOMPLAINTS in the last 10 months, FOX 31 hasINVESTIGATED them complaints were SO BAD that theOWNER, HOYLE BELT, offered contracted nullifications for people who felt they were DUPED, there aremany complaints with the Attorney General, they are TOP 10in complaints of all businesses in the STATE of COLORADO???
Every time I call, Irequest to be escalated to managers, butamREFUSED. Iasked to talk to the district managerof thestore my son signed thefinance agreementand the manager of the supervisor of the call center.

Is your product and customer service not enough to get customers to come back without tricking them intoexpensive finance agreements!
