In 2010 I subscribed to AARP's Secure Horizon's Medicare Direct. I was notified by the insurer that the plan would not be available to me in 2011.in other words, I was cancelled. To determine the reason, I contacted the Appeals Representative, Cheryl Pringle 1-866-579-8774.in return I received a letter telling me United Healthcare was greatly concerned, regretted the quality of service and thanked me for my patience. They confirmed that my plan was no longer available in my area. Through further research, I found that the plan is not offered in the State of Montana for 2011. I was asssured that this action was approved by Medicare.
Either AARP has ripped off a Senior or Obama's new Medicare plan has done the job. Meanwhile the plan continues to be advertised (carefully worded) on TV. Neither I nor anyone else in Montana now qualifies. Medicare benefits offered to one need to be offered to all.
I will be happy to work with an attorney or class action suit.
