Last year my sister heard this dental office had great deals! She went to the consultation and was talked into getting almost her whole mouth done and paid in advance. At her appointment, the dentist put her in so much pain then the dental assistant ended up sealing a temporary tooth on! She ended up having to pay another dentist to fix the work done by Grandpa's Dental. The second dentist even said the work done my Grandpa's Dental was done poorly and improperly! All we want is for these people to give back the money that hasn't been used! The problem is they have a no refund policy. This is ridiculous though! I understand that they wont refund back the work that they have done, (Although they should because it was done so badly!) but give us the rest of the money back!!! Last year, they agreed to pay back the remaining balance. They said we had to put our request in writing and mail it to them. We did. Then we waited. After no response, we called them. They said they never received the letter. So we faxed them and printed out a fax confirmation. I also mailed them and paid for the confirmation upon arrival. This time Sandy Rodriguez, the manager, said she received the letter and the fax but it wouldn't next week til we receive the check in the mail. We called her after a week and was again told to wait for one more week because she had not had the chance to mail out the check. Another week goes by and still no check! We filed a small claims case against Grandpa's dental and had to wait a few months for the court date. At the hearing, the judge says this case should be filed under Medical Malpractice not small claims. Being average people, we no not have the money to take them to a higher court. This dental office knows that their average client would not have the financial means to hire an attorney and sue them. And they know that Small Claims will not hear these cases against them! Sneaky!!! Can you imagine if all medical offices did that? Made you pay in advance, that way they already have your money and you end up at their mercy. All you can do is hope for the best and that they wont screw you over! (like Grandpa's Dental did to us!) Well, things started looking better after the hearing. Sandy Rodrigues agreed with my sister to pay back the remaining balance. But again, it needed to be in writing. We reprinted the letter and sent it off. About a week later we called and she said, "Next week we will send out a check." Again we waited. And again we called. Again she said to wait for next week, she will "send out a check." Another week goes by and we give her another call. This time, she says, " We don't have enough money now, we can only pay you a little bit." We just don't know what else to do... I just want to warn everyone. Do NOT do any business with Grandpa's Dental.
