To whom it may concern,
I originally went to the Fantastic Sam's salon to have my hair dyed to a natural darker blond, which was turned to green. Then when I went back and asked for it to be fixed, it was turned to bright red/pink. She misunderstood, when I asked if a red tint would have to be added to cover up the green. I wanted my hair to stay a light color! I said, I have to cover up the green! I can not have green hair at work. I don't want red hair either!!! If I HAVE to do this, to have a normal hair color??? A light brown with a red tint. I even reminded her to do a strand test and she said, no it's okay, this is a very light color.
With Bright RED/PINK hair I received a phone call back from Dominic (the owner), he was very nice and wanted to help. I warned that my hair was severely damaged in this whole process. We set up an appointment for 10:00AM 10/31 to assess the damage on my hair and see if the color could be fixed. He told me he was bringing in his most experienced beautician "Vannie". I did explain my hair was damaged during this whole ordeal. She looked at my hair and put a "color stripper" on it. I told her this is going to mess my hair up. She told me, just 10 min. Don't worry. They left it on my hair for at least 45 min. If not longer.
They washed it out and put dye in my hair for over an hour, when I got up from washing my hair there was chunks of hair hanging, like I was wearing a bad wig. I felt my hair and it was literally melting into my hand. I was terrified and when I went and looked in the mirror, it was the same exact color as when I came in!
I started crying and told them you ruined my hair. What did you do to me??? She ran in the back... This whole time, I believe they had been calling the company that made the dye that ruined my hair when it was turned bright red, for instructions on how to fix it. It was mentioned to me they had to make a phone call. She said don't worry! I said, get Dominic here now. I want to talk to him! He needs to see what you did to me.
Then she put something else in my hair, it started with a D... A deterrent? This turned my hair brown. I have brown hair with red streaks, my hair totally and completely damaged. It looks like my hair was singed with fire. Really I don't know if I'm going to cut it or wear it back in a bun for 2 years.
I was at the salon from 10 AM to 4:30pm that day, it was Halloween, I missed time with my kids. My hair is destroyed. I have to brush it over the sink because so much hair is breaking off. It's a huge mess. Anytime I leave the house, people ask me what happened? What did you do to your beautiful hair? I went to Fantastic Sam's that day with Healthy, Long Blond hair. I look like something tragic happened, like I'm sick or unstable.
I have to live with this until my hair grows back out, I am totally humiliated. I don't want to even look in the mirror, I'm depressed.
I have been made to feel like, I'm the one who made a mistake. I didn't ask for this to happen to me, I didn't deserve this. That day when I went in to have my hair fixed, they kept saying I asked for my hair to be Violet Red?
The only call I received from the owner was the day he called to, set something up for my hair to be fixed by his "best beautician". I sent 3 e-mails and called Fantastic Sam's Corp. Office. I received 1 e-mail back, letting me know the owner would contact me.
The day I left with my hair falling out and literally hanging from my other hair, still wet. They credited my account and handed me a bottle of shampoo and conditioner for dry hair.
I feel totally violated, this has effected my job and my personal life.
