Everytime I feel a cold coming on, I take 3000mg of vitimin C a day and 2-200mg of Advil Cold and Sinus three times a day. I usually take this for about 3 days and the cold never really bloosomes and then I am fine. I do this because I have no insurance and cannot afford to go to the doctor and/or hospital everytime for a little cold.
On Wednesday June 3rd, I woke up feeling like I was starting to get sick. So I started with my regular routine of Vitimin C and Advil Cold and Sinus. Only, by accident, I took 4500mg of V-C that first day.By Friday night, I was so bad that I couldn't talk. I felt horrible. I knew it wasn't just a little cold; not only because it had not yet gone away, but also because I was feeling worse. And also because a person usually knows their body and I knew this was something more than a little cold. So Saturday morning I went into a urgent care located in WalMart. I waited an hour and a half then the doctor came out, asked who was next, and took me back. He looked in my throat, my ears, and my nose. Then said it was a virus and that the nurse was now going to take my vitals. Well, first of all, he was supposed to do that first. Secondly, the nurse said I had a small fever and my oxygen was low but its fine. Then they gladly took my $59 and told me to come back again if I got worse... Which is another $59. I was so upset and knew it was more... Again, a person knows their body.
I was still not getting better and 48 hours later, I was diagnosed with a sever sinus infection from a emergency hospital. Why, if it was so sever, did the other doctor not notice it only 48 hours prior? Because they wanted me to come back in and charge me another $59.
Anyone in or near Sacramento, CA, NEVER go to this clinic! They are ripoffs and do not care for the well-being of their patients, only the money.
