My most recent American Express Card statement showed a charge for $89.95 by "MK SUPPLIMENTS (sic) MK INBOTHELL". I had never heard of this company and had to look them up online to find out the nature of their business. I keep excellent records of any items that I order online and I knew immediately that this was a phony charge.
I immediately contacted American Express to dispute the charge and to get an investigation started. I am still awaiting the result. I am concerned about how these people got my card number. I do not respond to spam. The only charge made to the card recently which was not repeat business was a payment to Rodale for a subscription to Prevention Magazine. This payment was made 6 days before the fraudulent charge posted by MK Supplements. I suspect that Rodale is the security problem.
From some other postings on this site, it appears that fraudulent credit card charges are a habitual practice with this company.
