I went to Dr. Julie Valentine in Beverly Hills, California about 3 months ago. She is simply the absolute worst and most dishonest dentist I have ever been to. I wasn't going to post anything, but after talking to her today, I'll be sure to share with everyone what an unprofessional and truly dishonest and vicious person she really is. Not only she did a terrible and unnecessary root canal job, but she also took over at least 35 X-Rays and refused to provide me with over 25 of them! She said she destroyed them all! She gave me only 12 X-Rays! If she had nothing to hide, why would she "destroy" all the X-Rays that I paid for? She took so many X-Rays before, during and after the root canal and she did not give me any of them!
1. She originally told me that I might have to do a root canal, but she won't know until she opens the tooth as the X-Ray showed the cavity was close to the root, but not touching it. After she opened my tooth, she DID NOT tell me AT ALL how far the cavity had gone and after it was taking a long time, and she went go get more tools, I asked her how far it has gone and she said she's already going the root canal!!! There was absolutely no explanation of how far the cavity had gone and her excuse was "when it's that close to the nerve it's best to just do a root canal, because the filling can hurt the nerve". Of course, this is also the best option for her pocket, but she also forgot to mention that.
2. The entire root canal procedure was the most painful thing I have ever gone through. She said her patience say that the root canal is more painful than giving birth. She doesn't know that only "her" root canals hurt that much. She gave me over 20 shots and I could still feel the pain! Her work is horrible! She even left me for over 15 minutes to go see another patient and when she came back the pain was so much as the affects of the shots had subsided! What kind of a careless and clueless doctor does this? When I spoke with other dentists, they could not believe that I had this kind of experience and I spoke with other people who had done root canals that did not hurt at all.
Her work is terrible, but it didn't end there.
3. After a month, I still had pain, discomfort, extreme sensitivity and my other teeth, next to the tooth where the root canal was done would constantly move and click! When I called her she said she has never heard of such thing! She said to come in, but of course I would never go near her after the experience I had with her.
4.3 months later, I still had the same pain and discomfort so I called to get my X-Rays and this is why I am posting all this information. Not only she was extremely rude about it and said "I don't know if you have seen other dentists..." and when I said no, her exact response was "well, nobody is holding a gun to your head. Go see other dentists"!!! This is when I realized that she actually got upset that I had not seen other dentists! Then I thought why would she get upset about that and ding ding ding! Because that way could blame her crappy work on another dentist! She also said a lot of other rude and mean things that I will not go into.
5. She is refusing to give me my X-Rays that I paid for which is against the law! She took a minimum of 35 X-Rays and she gave me only 12 of them! She charged me for every single one of them and she said she destroyed the rest! Obviously, she has a lot to hide!
What a dishonest, unethical, vicious and incredibly unprofessional dentist. Not only she does horrible and extremely painful root canal jobs, gives you 20 shots, leaves you during the root canal to see other patients, but she also refuses to give you all your X-Rays that she charged you for! I won't even go into all the mean comments and questions she brought up that were so unnecessary and she only said it to be vicious and mean.
I'll be reporting her to the Dental Board of California and other agencies. Her license should be revoked.
If you're reading this Dr. Valentine, God will deal with you for all the things you have done and said to me. You will not get away with any of it. Count on it!
