I have what is considered an HMO like health insurance in which I have to go to the dentists and/or doctors on the insurance companys list. Well several years ago I called Dr Puller's office and asked were they providers of this insurance company they said we accept it. My daughter and I started going t this dentist for routine visits such as cleaning/x-rays. We NEVER received a bill during the time we attended this dentist. After almost 2 years later I get a notice from a collection agency in which this dentist office had sent me to a collection agency for nonpayment when I NEVER received the first bill. I called the office and the receprionist was real nasty and unprofessional, she said well you owe it I said WHY did it take you so long to bill me she said well we have been having problems with the billing company we are using. I said HOW is it my fault with that? She did not answer. I was furious and wrote a registered letter to Dr Puller so that only he could sign for it explaining in the letter how I was treated with this bill and showing the proof of how long it took the receptionist to bill me... Within 2 weeks the registered letter was returned stamped "unavailable" this let me know that again the receptionist had intercepted my complaint. This billing technique they used is unfair and I think illegal (medical bills are suppose to go out before a 12 month period is up) and I think its something they practice on a regular basis because Dr Puller has employed a lazy incompetent receptionist.
My resolution to this issue is to write off this bill of 235.00, and do not send me any more bills, and also Dr Puller needs to hire a more competent knowledgeable receptionist not one that justs makes appointments and talks about other patients to the patients that are present and read magazines. He has a very nonprofessional doctors office with this one employee; and it's unfortunate that one employee canl cause Dr. Puller who is an outstanding dentist such devastion of his business. If usacomplaints.com performs an investigation into thie matter they will find that there are more patients who are having or have had problems with this receptionist.
