I went the St. Bonafice hospital when I was in labour. There were a few nurses there that had no compassion whatsoever. There is a no screaming rule. So when I got heavy agonizing contractions I got lectured for it. I wasn't allowed to hold my boyfriends hand either. Then I needed stitches and the man that injected the freezing juice didn't wait for the freezing juice to to do it's job and he immediatly started stitching. I felt every stitch.
In the recovery ward, because I was 17, it's law that social workers make regular visits. I was scolded to breastfeed my daughter every 2 hours onthe dot and feed her for 45min. Even when baby was too tired. Once, baby kept falling asleep and wouldn't wake up. This awful nurse came and grabbed my breast and forced my nipple into the babies mouth. This hurt alot.
