I ordered one tape from Crunchless Abs and paid for it with my Visa card. It came. The tape wasn't the best quality, but I was fine with it.
Two months later, I received another tape - unsolicited. Evidently, I was atuomatically enrolled in the company's continuity program. I was never asked if I wanted this. It was snuck onto the invoice. A card included with the tape instructed me to return the tape for a refund if I didn't want it. I didn't. The card also listed a number to contact to "opt out" of the continuity program. I tried 3 times, my husband once, each time for nearly 20 minutes, to get through to a person. My husband had his phone call cut off because it had exceeded the alloted time. What alloted time? He was on hold! I wrote a letter requesting the cancellation of the continuity program and a refund, stuck it in the box with the tape and sent it to the company at the address they gave me.
I received my Visa bill a couple of weeks ago. It did not include a refund from Crunchless Abs. We emailed them. Their response on March 10 said the continuity program would be cancelled but that they hadn't received the tape I sent nearly 3 weeks ago. When the company did receive it, I would only get a refund for the cost of the tape, not the shipping.
Today I checked my Visa account to see if a credit had been issued.instead of a credit, a new charge has shown up on the account dated March 13 for $19.99.in other words, three days after I was told that I would not be receiving any new tapes because they had cancel my continuity program, I was sent a new tape. I haven't received it yet, but if and when I do I will take it to the post office to receive some proof that I refused shipment.
