I've heard so much about the benefits of acai I decided to try it. And what better opportunity than to try it free, right? All I had to pay was $3.95 shipping for a FREE 30-day supply. I placed my order on 12/31/08. My account was debited $3.95 and a separate 3 cents (???) on January 2nd. Received the product on the 6th or 7th of January. On January 16th, my checking account was debited $87.13 and 87 cents. I wasn't even halfway through my 30 day trial. Discovered the charge on January 30th, 14 days later, and, might I add, hadn't received any additional product by that time.
Called the 866-949-0138 number provided on my bank statement (same number is on the supplement bottle) and was promised a refund in 7 to 10 days. It's been 19 days now and I've called twice more. All three times I've been assured by the very polite ladies with middle eastern accents that my refund would be expedited. I've contacted my bank and disputed the charge as unauthorized. I've taken advantage of various "free trial" offers before and this is the first time I've been ripped off. Expensive lesson.
