This Firm attempts to extort funds for clients by the destruction of credit.
In 2007 with no contact to me this agency reported that I owed money to the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. I only discovered the alleged debt after seeing a credit report. I called the firm on this error, but was told that they sent notice to an incorrect address and then just placed a charge on my credit without any attempt to call me be phone or to correct the error.
After contacting the hospital and seeing the original complaint was legitimate, I paid the original amount in full. The California Business Bureau still tried to grab a fee for themselves by leaving the adverse report with the credit bureaux until January 2.
In June the California Business Bureau again has attempted to extort funds by destroying my credit, this time to the tune of over $9,400. A similar situation where the hospital rather than directly dealing with me turned over what they felt was due to the agency. (The hospital was actually Paid In Full by checks endorsed by the hospital in agreement)
Although I had retained an attorney, the hospital and their collection agencies continued to hound me for payment from different areas of the country. These contacts were illegal actions per Iowa law.
The company is relentless and refuses to accept any proof or demonstration of payment - They only want their fee that is over four times the original agreed amount paid to the hospital by April. (See report on Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center)
