Bottom feeder collection agency that practices extortion

Beware of Cross America Collections in San Pedro California. This collection agency's motto is "Have we screwed with you lately?"

For more than a year, I have been fighting to get a negative entry off my credit report. Cross America Inc. Placed a derogatory entry on my credit report in March on behalf of Robert F. Kennedy Hospital, a hospital which was shut down in December.

I have no means of contacting the billing department at Robert F. Kennedy Hospital to correct this error as the hospital has closed.

I have written to Cross America requesting validation of the debt as required by law. I requested a billing statement on hospital letterhead.

What Cross America forwarded in return as "validation" was/is a joke.

Apparently, no one at Cross America has heard of the FDCPA.
