I went to Western Dental for wisdom teeth extractions the office was full of people and kids, it smelled like URINE and there was no toilet paper to go with the tiolet that wouldnt flush!
I had to drive an hour to get to the place so going back and forth for consultations etc makes it a real pain. I made my first appointment thinking it was going to be like a normal dentist appt but found out it was more like a welfare clinic. I felt like a minority, they only had Spanish documents for me to read she said they were out of the English version, I thought thats great this is my CONTRACT I should be able to READ IT!
They handed me a stack of papers to fill out then finally after handing in the papers the desk girl told me that I cant use there credit service (the ONLY reason I went to WD! HELLO) unless my husband of over 10 years came all the way to the office which was freeking impossible because he works 6 days a week and the office is an hour away! I said look I have been a stay at home mom for ten years with the same man and I have ALWAYS handled all the money/bills etc. She said Im sorry he has to be with you for your consultation, I said "Like he is my dad you mean?" she said yeah. Pleeez.
I finally got the lady to let me fax the papers in to his work for a signature but, couldn't SHE have suggested a creative solution instead of me figuring it out? LAZY. I finally get called in for the first step... X-rays which was crap but better than the waiting, then I sat in a dental chair for another hour waiting for the dr. She finally comes in and does her thing, I couldnt get my wisdoms out that day she said I need a specialist because my roots are on the nerves.
I make my appt with the specialist a couple weeks later even though I was in pain!
Get to my second appt and its like bada boom bada bing they slap me down in the chair and the nurse does everything but pull the teeth. So the Dr. Finally comes in and I express my concern with the nerve damage possibility. He says oh no your fine, this is easy you'll be great no prob. He shoots my mouth full of Novocaine, my arm gets tingly and numb basically the whole side of my body goes wack. So needless to say I was freekin.
He rips my two teeth out in a flash and sends me on my drooling way. I expressed concern about a month later when the feeling wasnt back to normal in that side of my mouth, the western dental people said to come in for a follow up appt so I did 2 times the last Dr said that the original Dr needed to see it so, I called up for that appt and of course he doesnt work there anymore! Wadaya know?!!
To top all that crap off they call me every month that my bill is a day late, they call the people on my EMERGENCY contact list... The list they ask you for so that if you die or something happens durring the procedure they can notify a loved one! OOOOO that really pisses me off, how dare they!!!
They are a rip off, dirty, rude, and a pain to deal with! They arent even cheaper when you look at the numbers.
