I attend a University, and two representatives from Ad-Efx stopped me and made me the offer of a $55.00 coupon ("worth way more") to a hair salon nearby. This coupon included four different visits, with at least 8 different treatments that I would receive upon each visit. I paid, and was assured that this wasn't a "too good to be true" scam.
When I called to claim my treatments from this coupon, the hair salon notified me that they were going out of business, but to call Ad Efx and that I would get my money back. I called and never got my money back. When I called, they stated that they could not give me my money back, but instead I would receive a new spa treatment at a better place. I never received that either.
I have tried to contact Ad Efx many times, but they never answer the phone. They did answer the phone on one occasion, and on this occasion they gave me a new number, telling me that they had "moved offices". This is a frustrating scam that needs to be stopped.
