Consumer Health Benefits Association/National Benefits Consultants Dishonest money hungry sharks who are taking advantage of people in real need of Health insurance. They are a disgrace to this country should be shut down

I have been in search of Health insurance for my husband and I filled a online form and was contacted by this company and others in regards to health insurance. I was told by chba that they offer a benefits/insurance plan where you can get the "best of both worlds".

For $139.00 a month my whole family is covered and that I can save minumum of 30% of dr visits and other fee's and tests. As far as hospitilation they would take at least 30% off that bill and negotiation the rest and then their insurance would pick up 80% of the rest. I ask for a web address or hard copy information and was sent to a website that stated clearly that they make no direct payment to the provider. When I ask for an explanation I was told they have to word it that way for legal reasons but was assured I would love the plan.

It sounded too good to be true so I ask more question, how, why would I be covered so cheap. I was told that every 18 months this GLT (General Term Life) who is the underwriter for this major insurance company comes along and offers this great plan to the general public but only to 3% of each state so when those slots are filled they stop offering this and in fact this was a special rate. I told them I would think about it and let them know I called back throught the swithboard and got a different salesman to see if there was consistency with what I was told.

I let him talk to my husband and although my gut instinct said no, we really need medical insurance I signed up with the agreement my credit card would not be charged for 24 hours. There was other things said like promised that my dentist would take this plan and was a major dental plan, when it is in fact a discount plan I can get on my own for about $8 and is not accepted any dentist in my town.

I also searched online and was shocked at the amount of complaints being made about this company. I decided I better check my account and they had already put a hold on my funds ($258.00) which caused me to go negative. I called my bank and had the hold reversed, and they told me to call chba and ask them to stop payment or it will still charge and since I used a debit there was nothing else they could do.

I called chba who was now very hateful and told me it would be cancelled, at this point I did not trust them so I closed my checking account. I then recieved a call from the floor manager, very aggressive and with intimidation in his voice exclaiming to me how much I need this plan that I family member with health issues and bringing them up to me in a way to intimidate me to take their plan.

This morning again my phone rang and it was the salesman I signed up under who said he was sorry to hear I cancelled, I told him I did not have time to talk and he said well you will remember this at your son and husband (the two with health issues) funeral. I was floored. Unbelievable, using intimidation to get me to take a plan that is not what they are presenting it to be.

Please stay away from this company they are snakes taking advantage of people.
