Liberty did keep my overpayment, they billed me then my secondary insurance company. I had to spend a lot of time to get my refund. The next order I recieved I called them and told them I would not pay until I got something from my secondary insurance and to call me with a problem. I never heard from them until I got my next order and was billed for a past due amount and another amount. I called them and they connected me with the collection department as I had a past due amount. They told me I got a bill every month which I did not. I told them to send me a return label so I could return my current order as I was done with them and to send me a bill so I could pay them what was due.
I started looking for another provider. I never recieved anything from them and found another provider who told me with medicare and a secondary insurance I would not have to pay anything. So I started calling Liberty to get a return label. They would never return a call. When I finally sat on the telephone for 45 minutes I spoke to a woman that said she would send me papers that would wipe out the past due amount and the current amount. She also told me that I was not sent a monthly bill on the past due. When I finally got the papers I filled them out giving them information that I did not think they needed. But I did. I did not hear from them so again I called and got put thru to the collection department again. When I told them I had been waiting for a return label they put me thru to some other department.
The man said that no one would have told me my bill would be wiped out and that he would send me another return label and cancel my account. I told him they had already gotten money from Medicare and he said that would be credited when they recieved my supplies back. I told him I wanted to find out about my past due and he said he would connect me with the collection department but he could not get thru and he would have them call me. I am still waiting for their call. I know this does not seem like a big deal until you realize that this had been 3 months that I have not been testing my blood sugar and I don't know how long it will take me to get a refund on my medicare so I can order supplies from a place that has better business practices. See I refused to used my new supplies until I got everything straight and I think they were banking on me using the supplies so I would have to pay them. Whatever you do don't get messed up with Liberty,, they have to be making big bucks with all the advertising they do... And now I know where they get there monies,, from seniors that need the supplies and believe them.
