Sold a policy, not insurance but PPO which paid just like insurance

My husband was searching the internet for a better insurance policy than we already had. We retired early so we can't use the money we invested yet and money has been a little slim. He entered contact information on a health finder site. A rep from CBHA Consummer Health Benefits Association / National Benefits Consultants, Inc. She said she was from CBHA and her policy was not health but a PPO. She claimed it paid just like an insurance policy with a deductable and paid 70 to 80% of health bill including eye & dental. She preceded to claim how it would pay for air ambulance, nurse on call and all the benefits you would expect from an insurance policy. I even asked a very specific question for I did not think this was real just to good to be true. I asked her if I went to the doctor for a poison oak shot, which I had just done recently and my insurance did not cover; would this policy cover it. Oh yes she said it would pay all but the 10 or 20 dollar, I don't remeber which, deductable. I asked again for this policy was cheaper than what we had, and I was excited, she said yes! Also a bonus was a Life Insurance with Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company. Well we did not need more life insurance but it came with the policy, wow. I asked if they had a website so I could check out their company and she stated yes but could not access it until we had our membership ID. She also stated the fee was non refundable; the fee was $259.85 and we could put it on our credit card. So we took out the policy. We had some more questions, we called the contact number she gave us but no answer so I looked through our phone directory of incoming calls so we could call her; I noticed there where 3 different numbers she had called from; this made me uncomfortable. We started calling and got no answer. We got our email verifing our policy that night and we looked it up, discovered that they are a consultant firm and not a health program or any kind of paying health plan. After reading further we found out that what they really do is get you a discount and they pay for nothing! So my husband searched the web and found this ripoff site and well guess what, there they were with other victims listed. We immmediately put a disbute on our credit card and it is going to take at least 3 months to clear this up. NC does have a minimum free look period of 10 days beginning with the date of policy delivery. I hope this will convince the Credit Card company to award us the case.in order to stop further charges we canceled card and got a new one.
