I ordered vitamins from VitaCost. August 6th I noticed a charge by shopping essentials for 14.95 on my bank statement. I called shopping essentials and was told by Martha ID # 151371 that vitacost gave me a 30 day free membership to shopping essentials and after the 30th day I would be charged 14.95 per month.
Vita Cost sold my checking account information to shopping essentials and therefore I was signed up for a membership with a company that I did not know anything about. I am rather mad that my personal checking account information was given without my authorization to another company.
How safe is our information with companies on line when you can't even purchase vitamins safely and without stress after the fact?
