Rita Beauty Parlor ripoff gave me the worst hair-dye job I've ever recieved stained my face and clothing with dye and still charged me My hair looked disgusting and I had to get it fixed the next day

I went to Rita Beauty Parlor aka RITA & Tony's Salon to get my eyebrows threaded, and the owner of the place insisted that I fix my roots too. They were growing in slightly, so I agreed to let her do them.

She proceded to put hair dye all over my head, seemingly not paying attention to the fact that I had highlights. She started putting the dye on just the top part of my hair, and then carelessly slopped it on the rest of my head, ruining my highlight job, and all the while, getting huge globs of dye all over my face, my neck and chest, and my clothing, despite the fact that I was wearing a smock.

I sat in the chair and noticed that my hair was beginning to turn a bright platinum color, many shades above any of my originial highlights.in addition, the job was very unevenly done. The top part of my hair was almost white-blonde, and the bottom was still the original color, a light brown.

I politely asked the woman to please wash it out.
As she did so, she poked me in the eyes with her fingers, got water in my eyes, and the my dye-stained face, neck, chest and clothing were ignored.

After she finished washing it out, I looked in the mirror and to my horror, I saw this new "color" that the woman claimed to look "great."

I am 26-years-old and have gotten my hair dyed many times, starting at the age of 15. No dye job I have ever gotten, including ones that I did myself, had looked as herendous as the one I saw when I looked in the mirror. Even the other girls who worked in the salon seemed disturbed.

I politely said to the woman that this was not okay. I showed her the vast difference in color between the top of my hair and the bottom. I explained to her how unevenly distributed the dye was.

She then said "Okay, what do you want me to do." I can surely say that I did not trust her, for the life of me, to touch my hair again, but the thought of going out onto the streets of New York City looking the way I did was equally as terrifying.

So I picked a color from her "color book" that was supposedly a dark brown, and she proceded to do the same type of dye job, carelessly slopping the dye onto my head, as well as my face, body and clothing.

I looked around the salon, trying to see some sort of license, but to no surprise, I did not see one.

After completing dye-job #2, my hair looked slightly better than before (worse was not possible), but it was still a disgusting, humiliating color. It was a very careless-unevenly dyed head of hair, that I had to get fixed the next day, and it cost me almost $400 to do the corrective coloring.

I do not believe the woman who owns this salon has a license, nor do I believe that she should be advertising hair and hilighting when she clearly does not know what she's doing.

By the 2nd time she was dying my hair, I could see the hair changing color, or should I say, not changing color in the spots she had so carelessly missed, and I actually ended up finishing it myself, staining my hands with hair dye, to which she did not have anything with which to remove.

It was a traumatizing experience. I felt invaded, violated, and fooled for actually having to pay at the end.

And I do not want this to happen to anyone else. It shouldn't have to.
