On 11-16-06 I contacted humana to inform them that I no longer wanted them as a part D medicare prescription plan, I was asked if I were going to use another provider? I replied no (If I were were they going to provide my coverage at a lower price?) any way I was told by mike (reference call #10184409xxx) that I would have to submit it in writing (I did that same day after going to the nearest social security office and putting it on file) I told them DO NOT TAKE ANY THING OUT OF MY DEC 06 SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY CHECK as I was canceling my coverage. I did keep a copy of my letter to humana.
I called them today on 11-29-06 at 12:35 pm and spoke to shauna reference call 9444244xxx and was told they would do so on jan 1st 2007. I said that was unexceptable as this was within an enrollment period (assuming this ment enrollment and disenrollment) I was then told I owe them 123 dollars DUH!
It was automatically deducted from my social security check and since it is social security related issue and I do not work for social security how is this my problem? Besides it shows that $69.00 was taken out each month. They seem to want to take another $69.00 and then $123.00 from me for nothing. OH! By the way I bought a box of needles for insulun injections for $27.99 and humana paid $24.43 saving me a whopping $3.56 WOW! A box of $27.99 needles for $420 dollars and this does not include the $123.00 or $69.00 dec which no doubt they will steal.
OH! They never told me of or sent any disenrollment forms as I had to call social security at 1-800-633-4227 and found this out and did this as a backup. Our gov'ts attemp to provide prescription coverage for the eldery, disabled, and poor americans is a joke, scam or what ever you want to call it. Wal-mart generic prescriptions now $4.00 going to jump to $11.00 then montel willams advertised site PPA and many pharmicutical companys offers help to the poor, eldery or disabled. Then you can always ask your Doctor for samples. Then let this roll around in your mind the drug companies and the F.D. A want to ban drugs coming in over the borders but 85 percent of drugs are made over seas DUH!
Let them explane this I want to hear it, I used to work in quality control for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies of rubber stoppers in the world (west pharmaceutical)
