LA Fitness-acct PIF-Overdrew my bank acct 300 dllrs should be 35. Dllr lancaster, pa

I joined LA Fitness and went in to pay my bill. I set up my payments by my bank acct and according to the manager Laurie my account was paid in full and they would take out 35 dollars around Oct 12 every month.

I used their gym the next few weeks and I went to withdraw money from my acct and it was overdrawn 282 dollars. I immediately called LA Fitness and they sd I was behind in payments and had the right to take the money out of my account.

I now have to call my bank to cancel this. I have had the hardest time just getting the number to the Corporate Office. Everyone plays dumb and gives you the run around.

I am calling the Corporate Office and demanding the back charges I all of the sudden owe be dropped and that my acct be immediately canceled. I think its insane that I should have to wait 30 days (so they can rip me off some more?) to cancel my acct and I have to send it in writing.
