I ordered ProActiv via phone on Friday, September 15. That same day, a charge was applied to my account for vitamins. Not only did I not order vitamins, but they were never even mentioned when I placed the order. I have worked for call centers before, and I know better than to accept ANY upsells. Still, they insist that I accepted the upsell. They refuse to pull the call to listen to it, or even to find out who took the order originally. THEY SCAMMED ME - BE CAREFUL IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU!
Because of my previous experience in the field, I rarely order by phone or internet. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU WEIGH THE RISKS BEFORE YOU DO SO, TOO! Most of these companies offer monetary bonuses for EACH upsell. Many of the sales reps will simply select "Accept" for upsells without even mentioning them to the customer. There is nothing you can do to protect yourself from this, except to not order in the first place.
I have called several times, and have been told that the money will be credited and that all future orders have been cancelled. I've read enough online now to know that they say this all the time, but do not follow through. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but if they do this to me, I WILL get a class-action lawsuit going.
They do over a billion dollars in "sales" every year. It seems like a good chunk of these "sales" would be better named "de-frauding hardworking consumers." Please don't let yourself be one of them. If you want ProActiv (which is the only skincare product that I've found that works for me), buy it at your local mall at the ProActiv cart. And pay in cash.
