This was the worst salon experience I have EVER had! I did not get what I asked for and my hair was ruined. I told the stylist, Melinda, what I wanted and I never asked for highlights. Halfway through I realized she was giving me highlights and when I asked for her to fix it she told me I would like it her way.
I was going to let it go but when I left the salon my hair was breaking off, it was uneven, and the streaks that I never asked for looked like they were done weeks earlier. When I called the owner, Donna, she did not answer my calls and did not call me back until days later. I was as nice and polite as I could be but she started blaming me for the way my hair was done. I couldn't believe it. Her exact words were "we can't guarantee your hair will come out the way you ask"... And I told her I never would have gone into her salon had I known that.
When I asked to have my hair fixed because it was in need, her response was "I can't see your hair, so I don't know if it does or not and I have to see it for myself to determine that." I told her I would call her back to make an appointment to come in and for the rest of the week whenever I called she was too "busy" to answer. And she never returned my calls.
When I finally got ahold of her again she yelled at me because I didn't remember the stylist's name and she said "Her name is not 'the stylist'... It's Melinda. And you need to refer to her by that name." At that point I was upset and told her I was recording our calls in case I decided to take it to court, so she hung up on me. It was like talking to a child.
I called her back yet again and she told me she thought I was just scamming her and that I probably did this everywhere I went. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She kept saying it was a scam because she hadn't yet seen my hair. Well, everytime I said I could go in she flaked out and said she would be busy or she wouldn't be there. How convenient. I said I could be in by 2:00 that day to have her look at it but she said she was leaving right at 2:00 and couldn't do it. When I called back again the woman who answered the phone said the owner would be in at that time.
I ended up going back to the salon that day to have her look at my hair and she kept trying to tell me my hair looked like that because it had been done weeks earlier. That was not true at all. My hair had been done a week before and it looked like it had been done a month prior. She knew it looked horrible and that it was fried but she wouldn't admit to it. She said she "only felt comfortable" giving me $60 back, which was half.
It won't pay to have my hair fixed elsewhere. I don't even know if my hair can be fixed, but it was the best I could do. This salon knows nothing about customer service and I hope no one else has to go through this horrible experience.
