Since this gym opened up its new location 2 months ago, they have not had hot water. Every time I ask them about why there is no hot water, they come up with some lame excuse about a part being broken and that it will be on and working in a couple days. I always check back the following week and they say the same thing. I sincerely believe they are deliberately not turning it on to save money, especially since this is a new location and I know they have put a lot of money into nice equipment.
My problem with this business practice is that its breach of contract. When they sold us the gym membership, hot water was included in the price. If they are going to decide to not turn on hot water, then they should tell people the truth and compensate them.instead, they continue to lie to all of us and we can't even shower after our workouts. This problem has been going on since they opened 2 weeks before last Christmas 2004.
Also, there was a 3 month period between the time they closed the old gym and opened the new gym where they continued to collect everyone's membership dues but DID NOT HAVE A GYM TO WORK OUT IN! Instead, they offered us to go to their Deerfield Beach location or their East Boca location which are nearly 30 min drive from the original gym, which is only 2 minutes drive from my house. I asked about a refund for the months they were closed but they said they weren't giving refunds and for us to drive to their other locations.
When I joined their gym 2 years ago, they were selling memberships from the old gym saying they were going to be opening the brand new gym the following month. They had schematics of the new gym on the wall and got everyone excited about the new gym. The gym didn't actually open until nearly 2 years later! Just another lie upon lie with this company.
Now that the gym is finally open, I'm happy with everything except the fact that there still is no hot water. The steam room wasn't even working for at least the 1st month they were open, blaming it on some grouting problem or some lame excuse.
Now the steam room is working, but no one can use it unless they want to take a cold shower or go home stinking. Didn't this gym have to pass inspection to open? Do they think we are really that stupid?
Money is NOT the issue here, its the principle of the thing of being cheap and jerking their members around with their excuses & broken promises.
