In May 08 we purchased two sofas for approximately $8,000. At the time of purchase we were told that it would likely take between 10 and 14 weeks to deliver. It is now 20 January (33 weeks) and we have NO FURNITURE and NO STATUS.
For months my wife has tried to get a status from both managment and sales staff and have received nothing but BS. They either do not know or simply do not care that we ever receive a product. I happen to know that it is the latter.
Last week I called the sales rep Mark to ask for a refund and he asked me to wait another week so he could get a status. He said that if he did not get a status in that time, they would refund my money. This past Monday I arrived to get my refund and was told by Richard the manager that he could not give it to me.
Richard was petulant, unprofessional, and showed abolutely no concern for our issue. At one point he even suggested that it was somehow us (a customer that hat patiently waited 33 weeks for nothing...) that were being unreasonable! He then tried to pass the buck to the manufacturer stating that they had our money not Treasures. He suggested we should be mad a them not Treasures.in short, I cannot believe that an upscale furniture store like Treasures would hire such an incompetent, unrefined, unprofessional manager. He must have come cheap.
Our sales rep was equally unhelpful.
We have learned that part of the problem is that Teasures is loosing their credit with many of the manufacturers. This means that no one will build furniture for them until they have the cash in hand. This is likely slowing things down for everyone, and raises concern in my mind as to Treasure's financial condition.
At this point we too are taking legal action to get our money back. We have received no consideration whatsoever for our $8,000 and have no resolution in sight. I suggest that we may want to combine our resources if you are interested. Please feel free to respond and we can work out a plan.
