In 1998 my wife and I built our dream home in Idaho Falls ID. We were told at the time the counter tops would COST MORE, However; the product WilsonArt would be more durable, look better and last longer than Formica.
A few months after Johnson Brothers INC.installed the product they were back to repair some cracks that started at the inside corners where the hole had been cut for the installation of the stove. The repair was made with a 1/2" overlay. Another few months went by another crack appeared at the faucet location which was repaired a few weeks after the call.
Our home is now 8 years old. The crack reappeared at the sink location. We called Johnson Brothers INC. To have the counter repaired. We was informed at this time there was a problem with the product and it could NOT be repaired it would all need to be replaced and we were on our own with WilsonArt. Meanwhile the length of the crack grows longer and longer at this time it is about 12". After a few months of this we went on line to WilsonArt and were told to file a claim with WilsonArt. Which we have done and HAD NO response. We also contacted another company who sells and installs WilsonArt. We have left messages and even gone to the store with the promise we would get some help. They finally came to our home and the price of the replacement of the counter top was 2X the original. The crack is now 24" and getting longer.
