Formica Brand Hard Surface Counter Tops are a poor choice for kitchen countertops. Surface can not be maintained, cloudy finish, water marks surface, and Formica does not know what to do. Their website details how to maintain finish, and yet company personel say not to do it according to printed material.
I spent $8000.00 plus on Formica Hard Surface Counter Tops. Plywood with contact paper for $ 100.00 would have been a superior counter top.
Formica has not trained the wholesaler and dealers on the Formica Hard Surface Counter Tops.
Retailers sold the product as "just like Corian". I just wish I had purchased Corian, or some other product.
Formica Corporation has sent "third party" to look at our counter tops. With no success. Received a letter from Formica stating our concern was not a warranty issue.
Formica Corporation does not stand behind their product.
