On february 25th I arrived at Ashley Furniture in New Rochelle with excitement on choosing new furniture for the remodeling of my apartment. I initially started with a nice gentlemen by the name of Keron Belto. I advised him all the measurements i need for the selections I needed to choose from in hopes of narrowning things down and making my choice easier. The first order I decided on went on for well over 2 hours due to the fact I was advised by Keron, I would recive a special discount only to get to the front desk and find out I was not reciving the one promosed. I was in the store long enough and really wanted to leave because the information between the sales associate, the manager, and the front desk was making me dizzy. I felt very unsure about the transaction so I went back which then I recived a new sales associate who convinced me to change the furniture to a package deal getting the discounts I wanted. He had advised me I will even get a free throw which I found was in fact charged to me on my bill. Again the Ashley furniture triangle made me dizzy with all different representations of what a free throw actually meant... It wasnt free and I was paying for it. Again, feeling very "taken for a ride" I decided to go back to Ashley again and met with my original sales associate and decided to go back to my original order, which was then delivered and did not fit in my door. I gave the measurements to sales and he did confirm it will definitely fit. I even explained the angle upon entering my apartment and it was still confirmed it would fit. It didnt!!! Upon going back and forth with customer service they advised they can waive the charges of "restocking" fees. They asked me to come back and reorder and suggested a measuring service for an additional 99.00... I advised I had 3 people measure the entrance and advised once again the angle of my door. Now they seem to get it and had Keron, the sales person, show me loveseats that would fit. Now they all understood. Not sure why they didnt before but, they advised with these measurements I can only fit a loveseat and not a couch and to purchase an additional chair for extra seating (not sure why noone advised this before!!!) So, with that said I had to pay another delivery fee which I had no more strength to argue about and just paid it. I picked a loveseat and a couch ON DISPLAY at the Ashley Furniture Home store in New Rochelle. I took pictures of it and was happy until the delivery came and the loveseat was a totally different color and does not match the chair. I was never even shown the loveseat came in another color... Quite disturbing. At this point, I have never in my life been so frustrated with ordering furniture that I just kept the couch and said one day I will adress this. I had given my other couch away to a friend and had nowhere to sit, since the first order came that didnt fit. I will never oder from Ashley again their level of customer service should be for selling something other than a livelyhood like furniture. It was something so important to me and turned into such a nightmare that customers can be treated like this. It is very sad a company as large as this do not take customers into consideration and its all about making a sale. I will not even touch the fact that they raised the price on the protection plan which I never authorized. Ashley Furniture Home Store to me are scam artist in the making!!!
