My husband and I bought a washer and dryer on Jan 3rd at the Brick, had it delivered on the 15th and it worked for 2 loads then we went on holiday on the 18th... When we got back on the 25th our son told us it stopped working just after we left. Brick would not send out a technician and we got in touch with GE who sent out someone who took the machine apart and told us the motor was toast! We went back to the Brick on Monday (Jan 28th) night where they offered us an exchange. We couldn't get the same model or the one bellow (they were both on back order), only the next step up. We were also told that we could not get a refund because the timing was "over the 7 day" policy even though had we been home, it would have met their 7 day criteria. We sucked it up and paid $380 extra for the upper model and were promised delivery on "Wednesday" which we planned for today. They called me this morning and said our items were available and ready for delivery and what day would I like delivery... I said they were to be delivered today and they said it was not scheduled for today but for the 6th but that they were ready and could come earlier. My husband Bert arranged the day off to accommodate delivery today so he is losing time and money because of this. We told them to come and get the broken set and demanded our money back but they are refusing saying the 7 day policy only allows for a store credit. This will also teach me to not purchase from a debit card%u2026only use my visa which I would be able to have them retract the purchase! (Ashtonbee Road store). I will not be going back after the treatment we have received and therefore what good would a store credit do us. You would think they would have some customer loyalty.

Please advise if you would be able to assist us in getting our money back. If $1,500 is such a big deal to them, I don't understand how they are still in business.
