I purchased a Tracfone a year ago because it seemed like a nice prepaid cell phone and had a cheaper plan than many of the others, even those owned by the same company. It was only by accident I discovered the company which owns Tracfone is a foreign company whose headquarters are located in Mexico. I admit as soon as I realized all my calls, etc., were going through a foreign entity, I immediately quit using the cell phone. Not many people realize these phones are not supported in America, but outside of the United States. Under the circumstances, I personally do not feel comfortable using such equipment. People need to be aware of the actual basics of electronics which they are purchasing. This was not obvious. I feel it should have been noted.
