Television repai

We have a 61 inch digital light projection television from best buy. On september ninth the 4 year extended warranty expired. On september seventh we had them come out to check the tv and change the bulb. They did what we asked. Within one to two days we started getting white dots on the screen. So within a couple more days we called them to let them know that was a problem. They said. We had 30 days if there were any issues after they had come out. We assumed it was an issue with the bulb that they had replaced. After having checked the tv on the seventh and change the light bulb I said everything was fine. So when we called and reported a problem they came out. They said it wasn't a problem with a light bulb that it was a problem with each ship going bad in the engine. The technician turned in their repair for warranty service and it was denied coverage. I spoke to customer service at best buy and she said she didn't think I should have to pay for it. She said she would get back to me even though I had to call and try to get ahold of her first. Finally she returned my phone call yesterday which was monday. She said if we had called a by the eighth or ninth of september which was the last 2 days the tv was in warranty they would have covered the issue. Since they told us we had 30 days we didn't call right away. So the repairman told us its not worth fixing the tv if we pay out of our pocket. His estimation was $550. Dollars. So now we are stuck with a 2000 dollar tv we bought from best buy that has white dots spreading across the screen because the chip is not working in the mirrors inside the engine are getting stuck. My parents are on social security and on a fixed income. They do not have the money to go out and replace the tv. The man said it is not worth paying to get it fixed. Because they said we had 30 days if there were any issues we thought that we were still with no warranty. Now they have refused to fix the tv even though it was just a few days past the extended warranty expiring.
