Nook's defective charger & customer service

The new NOOKcolor, although a good idea, has a connector wire to the charger that is incredibly flimsy. Ours gave out within TWO months of purchase! We could not charge our Nook any longer because the connector was so incredibly faulty and flimsy. I called many times, each time I was told a new one was on the way—the charger we received arrived WITHOUT the USB cable (the cable that connects the Nook to the charger)!!! How could someone pack a charger without wires? Not to mention having the 800 customer service help with absolutely nothing. After TWO months, one of the reps finally tells me they can't help and that I need to go to a "higher up" office!!! All because we made the mistake of buying a Nook instead of an iPad.
