Robert Dotson, President Of T-Mobile
T-Mobile Wireless fraudulent rebate promotions, refusal to honor rebate submissions Belleview washington

My wife and I were contented T-Mobile customers for the first couple of years. My phone went bad within the first year. I called T-Mobile who admitted they were having a lot of problems with Motorola model C-332, and promptly sent me a V66.

About one year later, my wife's V66 suddenly went out. T-Mobile offered two free V66 phones plus $200 cash rebate to new customers. (Did you catch that? If we were new customers, we could get two (2) V66 Motorola phones FREE, plus $200 in our pocket!) Since we were existing customers, a replacement phone would cost us $99., however we would get a mail-in rebate for $50.00. This was acceptable to us, and the replacement phone was promptly received.

As a condition of this "special price" we were agreeing to another year's contract. Trying to actually get the rebate has been more of a challenge than getting opening day Chief's tickets. No matter what we do, it is on the wrong form, or we didn't submit a valid IMEI number or something. Basically, I have been called an idiot and a fool by T-Mobile Customer Care Department, and from some of the comments I have read on the internet, I am not alone.

It is my opinion that a pattern exists whereby Customer Care Representatives deliberately frustrate those seeking a rebate until they give up. I am not going to beg anyone for $50.00. I have done nothing wrong, except to trust a company that routinely promotes deception to achieve their bottom line.
