Alex Ozell Wholesale electronics SCAM Port of Spain

I belong to several direct wholesale websites that deal business to business. I was recently contacted by email from an electronics wholesaler located in Trinidad and Tobago. He promises a 3 day turn around on receiving product. Everything is shipped out Fed-ex two day delivery. Or so he said and so did his website. I don't typically work with someone who I don't know but occassionally I make an exception based on one of two things or both. You can provide me with 5 business references and/or you accept credit cards as form of payment.
I typically know better when wholesaler refuses to give references based on the fact that they respect their clients privacy. LOL Trust me if I am getting a smokin deal from you I am more than happy to take an email of phone call saying I am more than happy with the service. So that is obviously a red flag. And of course the prices were good but not like WAY to good to be true. They seemed pretty normal for the wholesale market.
This company only accepts Liberty reserve or Alertpay. I have an alertpay account so I chose that avenue. But he failed to tell me he is not a verified member and therefore actually can not accept credit card pmt. Neither of these is a truly secure form of payment Luckily I decided to go with my gut and paid using Alertpay and gave them the 3 days to send the product. None of which happened and then they tried to string me a long with the postal service delay thing but then couldn't provide me with a good tracking number. Then showed me a receipt for the product shipment and I read the receipt saying that my product weighed. 05 grams.
I knew this was way off and pointed it out and they told me they were declaring it as gift to get it past customs without paying extra tax. So evidently they think Americans are dumb? You can fudge your declaration but the postal carrier of choice will weigh it themselves and of course then declare the true weight. Needless to say after waiting an entire week for a good tracking number I finally filed a dispute to keep my money safe. Luckily because I did it very quickly I got all of my money reversed from Alertpay before the scammer could walk with it.
The owner Alex Ozell appears to be a scam artist... Beware!
