Weekly ad in newspaper offered a $50 store gift card when purchasing an XBOX 4GB Kinect bundle.
At store, I asked the salesman about the gift card. They looked in the weekly ad hard copy at the register and saw it was advertised. I asked how I get the card. The salesman offered to look for this while I checked out.
10 minutes later, the salesman hands me a rebate form and off I go. 2 days later, I go to fill out the rebate form and see that it expired in July. I check the online weekly ad at hhgregg.com and sure enough, the offer is there. (My hard copy had been recycled) Sent email to customer service, which has been ignored.
Now they tell me there is no such rebate. The online ad is no longer available (it was for Dec 4-10) and they claim ignorance. The system was a birthday gift and has been opened and is no longer returnable. Nobody at the local store or corp is willing to help.
First time there, and apparently the last time.
