Now trying to charge me for something they misled me on at point of sale

When I bought my MyTouch4G phone it was pointed out to me how it could be used as a wifi hotspot. This was key to why I was willing to switch to TMobile to begin with because it would mean being able to do away with having a cell phone AND an internet card. It seemed like a great deal. I was shown how to connect it using the PDAnet application that made directly connecting to my laptop from my phone by cable possible, OR I could just set my phone to Wifi Hotspot. AWESOME!!!

Now, one year later I start getting messages sent to me by TMobile telling me how I can UPGRADE to be able to use my phone as a hotspot, the exact thing I have been doing since day one and was told there was no additional cost. When I try to use it, the internet page becomes a TMobile page selling the feature and it blocks all other web pages.

I called CS of course, to hear the standard, "We're so sorry that you were told the wrong information, but I can sign you up today for only $14.99 per month." Sorry? No accountability whatsoever. The standard we can't do anything about it. So, for my wife and me, it would mean an extra $30/month, plus tax of course.

I have one year left on my contract, and then there will be no reason to stay with them. If they all charge for it, then why stay? I will change just because I can, and of course, I will be very sorry for them that they lost my $300 per month. Yes, oh so sorry.
