Apple i-Tunes is a rip off - Apple won't restore 278 purhcased songs to my new ipod

Be careful of Apple i-Tunes.

I had purchased over 278 songs over a period of several years. I got a new ipod and now can not play or sync any of the songs to my new ipod. I spent two days on the phone with apple customer support. You can not talk directly with anyone in the iTunes department. I've sent several emails and problem still not resolved.

They say it is an account issue. They say that there information thay have on file is different than what I submitted originally. When I asked them why I was able to purchase items in the past, with no problems, they have no answer for me. Nothing I tell them has any influence on the resolution of this problem. Customer service has told me that the information they have is correct and nothing can be done to change it. So, I can not access any of the music I paid for.

Be carefull with i-Tunes. You can't talk to anyone directly. The only way you can talk is via email and it takes days to get a response. If there is any kind of proble with your account you will lose everything you purchased.

If you're going to use i-Tunes you're better off buying or borrowing the cds from someone and then loading them into iTunes to sync to your ipod. That way you will have the music forever with no problems.

Don't buy any downloads from iTunes. If anything ever goes wrong with your account or your ipod you will loose everything you purchased!

I won't ever buy from iTunes again or buy any apple product ever again.
