I purchased a replacement projector lamp from Electrified.com, as my lamp was reporting near end of life. Big mistake!
The lamp I was shipped had a 1/2 inch crack in the reflective housing. This concerned me, so I contacted Electrified.com multiple times to ask if there was any concern using the lamp since it was otherwise intact. I suspected the heat may cause the crack to grow. Electrified never responded.
Eventually, I did need to replace the lamp in my projector. Upon first power-up, I noted a bright red glow through the vent holes on the projector followed by a flash and then nothing. I found that a fuse in the projector was blown by the new lamp, so I purchased and replaced the fuse. Same result.
Eventually, I purchased another lamp from a different vendor. This lamp did not blow the fuse, but the projector failed to power-up. I finally took the projector to a service center and was told that the defective lamp short circuited and burned one of the printed circuit boards in the projector. So, not only was I out the price of two lamps, I lost a $900 projector in the deal.
I wrote Electrified.com about this horrible result, and true to their form, they never responded.
I will never deal with Electrified.com again, and will speak ill of them at every opportunity.
