This company is very misleading,
I called to have my ps3 fixed it had a yellow light and was not working, so i found out before calling that it most likly had a soildering problem that alot of ps3 have when becoming hot. It would of cost me 200.00 to fix it through sony so i decided that i would look around for a company that would do it for less, i came up with this company advanced video technology, i called to talk with them in person so that i could find out what they would charge, after telling the man what was going on he to said it most likly was the yellow light of death,
So i would have to have it soildered, i asked him how much that would be he told me it would cost me 69.99. I said really thats a good deal, ut that i was concerned tht if i had it fixed would it do it again, he said no, tht they use a differant typ of soilder, so i said ok, tht sony charged 200.00 and i felt worried tht it would happen again, i then told him i told him that i was worried tht if the price would change, because i could go and get another system a wii for 200.00 and he said tht the only thing tht would change is if they had to replace the board, so i asked him well what would that be he told me it would bring the 69.99 up to a 100.00
So i asked him several times if it would only be 100.00 he said yes. So i told him then what do i do, he said you would mail it to us and the return would be free, he told me to pay the 69.99 and send the ps3 to them, and if it ended up being the board tht they would call me first to let me know and charge me the differance of 30.00 for the board. Again i said so it wont be more then 100.00 and he told me yes. So i paid the 69.99 and mailed it off to them.
I got a call saying that they recieved the ps3 and that it is going to be 100.00 in addition to the 69.99 tht i paid, i told the man hold on tht is not right you told me before i sent it to you tht it wouldnt be more then 100.00, he tells me well your system is an older model and the board is more, i told him why when i asked how much and you gave me quote telling me it would only be 100.00 at the most did nt you tell me that it depends on the system he said well we didnt know tell we got it, i then asked him why didnt you ask me when i talked to you on the phone when i had the system in hand if you know there is a diffrance in the system?
He siad we needed to see it to know what system it was, itold him i dont understand then why i was not told tht there would be a price differance and what it would or could run from 69.99 to 200.00 or what ever, because tht is what made the diffrance in weather i sent it in to you, i told him i dont want you to fix it because now tht you have my money and my system you are changing the price on me tht was the whole point in me calling to make sure tht i felt like it was worth fixing and i felt like the quote you gave me before i sent it was really fair 69.99 or at the most 100.00.
Now you are telling me i have to pay 169.00 tht is not right and tht if i dont want it fixed i dont agree with the price tht is diffrent from what you said the max amount would be, you wont give my money back youll keep it and send me the system back un repaired, i dont understand why when you say tht you didnt know what system it was, why you didnt call me and tell me tht and tht the price would change before even touching it. It is not ok to tell some one tht it wont go over a surtain price then try to jack the rate up after you feel you have there system and there money. This is a scam if you ask me, and not exceptable, paying to send my system to them and then making me pay the repair cost before recieving it and then having my goods and money then telling me you want more money: (i would not recomend this company
