Tigerdirect, Compusa lied about shipping the product

I order Canon T2i Body only in July 17th the camera was backorder for over 35 days that is understandable it was shortalmost every where, but on the August 23rd I called CompUSAand the rep told me he have a tracking number for me and it will be shippedsoon, so I said that it ok I do not need the tracking number, since you guy areready to ship it, I should get it from my email for update after the product (at least that is the most on line merchant will do)
Today is August 28th 5 days later on UPS web siteit is still showing Billing information received and no ETA, so CompUSA nevership the product now they claim the package was lost in shipping, I have towait for another 6-8 business day for investigation
