In California, rebates legally must be paid within 60 days unless the rebate itself generally specifies to "please allow..." some other amount of time.
Who knows if it did? Who Cares?
I have been waiting for this CompUSA rebate since 9-17. Today is 11-26. And for what... $20? CompUSA reminds me of a poor drug fiend.
Circuit City, on the other hand, sent me both my rebates weeks ago. (I had shopped there that same day)
Circuit City has been great with returns too.
With this CompUSA rebate... They made me cut the bar code off the box for it. And that pretty much prevents you from returning the item. That's CompUSA's return policy. That's CompUSA's rebate instructions. I am not talking about a manufacturer rebate. This is CompUSA's premediated low-life business practices I'm talking about.
Cirucit City, on the other hand, had me photo copy the bar codes on the box. Are you starting to see the difference in how these two stores do business?
